A student's perspective.

This entry written by a UNCC student about his 2007 experience in Mt Zion summarizes why this trip is so awesome.

I realized that the land of Israel was more than just a historical setting found
in the pages of a textbook. It was more than just some patch of land to be
coldly studied and theorized over. It was a living, breathing, endlessly
fascinating place that offered more opportunities for education and personal
growth than simply reading texts and attending class alone could ever provide.
It not only gave a new life to my education; it gave it heart.

Digging Mount Zion 2008

Sometimes it is simply unacceptable to turn down an opportunity when presented. We now have an opportunity to participate in what could be one of the most significant biblical archeological projects of our time in Jerusalem.

In short my plan is to spend 1 week with the dig team, attending their lectures and field trips followed by 1 week adventuring in and around the Holy Land. I've made up my mind to go. All that is left is for you to decide if you will be the one sending postcards or receiving
them.
